Images in this calendar came out of a photography contest for people affected by homelessness, supported by The Royal Photographic Society (RPS), held 31st July - 5th August 2103.
One hundred single-use cameras were distributed at St Paul's Cathedral, with photography training given by RPS volunteers. Participatns were given five days, with the themes My London, My Friends & Family and My Life.
This calendar is sold by homeless and low-income people. Vendors buy the calendar for £5 and sell it for £10. All the money from the transaction goes to the vendor. Additional proceeds support the purchase of art materials for art groups supporting homeless artists and photographers involved in the project. To see a full exhibition of photographers and paintings, please go to www.cafeart.org.uk. Thank you for your support.

"It is well known that art and photography can help raise an individual's confidence and sense of worth which can be as important as more tangible benefits. This competition will contribute to that as well as raising wider awareness of the problems of homelessness ..."
